Samarco completes Germano’s pit decommissioning
Brazilian iron ore miner and pellet producer Samarco, co-owned by Vale and BHP, has completed the decommissioning of the Germano pit, Kallanish learns from the company.
Works were ended in accordance with all technical, environmental, and legal guidelines, and ahead of the planned date of October 2023, as established in the term of commitment signed with federal and state agencies, the miner says.
