Samarco sets pellet production record in August
Brazilian Samarco Mineração’s pellet output reached a record high in August, Kallanish learns from the iron miner's equipment supplier. Production totalled 824,829 tonnes for the month.
The company, co-owned by Vale and BHP, resumed activities in December 2020 operating one of its three concentrators at the Germano Complex and one of four pellet plants at the Ubu Complex in Minas Gerais, supplied by Finnish technology company Metso.
