Sangang Group caps new 1,950cum blast furnace
Fujian-based Sangang Group in southeastern China capped the first 1,950 cubic metre-blast furnace at the end of October at its headquarters in Sanming City, Kallanish notes.
The whole new plant, housing two identical BFs, is expected to reach 3.318 million tonnes/year of iron capacity, resulting in a net reduction of 333,000 t/y of iron capacity.
To secure the capacity quotas, Sangang Group dismantled three 420cum BFs and two 1,050cum BFs.
