Chinese futures firm as SHFE hikes fees

Chinese steel futures prices gained further on Tuesday with rebar outpacing hot rolled coil. The Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) has implented an increase in commission on May hot rolled coil which hurt trading volumes but futures have so far resisted any lasting impact of such measures, Kallanish notes.
