Simec reports strong 2021 despite weak fourth quarter
Mexican long steel producer Grupo Simec saw fourth-quarter-of-2021 sales decrease sequentially, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest report. Full-year shipments, however, were higher compared to 2020.
The steelmaker’s shipments totalled 550,000 tonnes in Q4, down 6% over Q3 and down 8.6% compared to the same period in 2020. Cumulative sales amounted to 2.5 million tonnes, up 2.6% on-year.
