Simec sees first-quarter shipments grow sequentially
Mexican long steel producer Grupo Simec saw first-quarter revenue increase sequentially, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest report. Shipments, however, were weaker compared to the same period of last year.
The steelmaker’s sales volume totalled 604,000 tonnes in Q1, up 13% over Q4 2022 but down 3% compared to a year earlier. From this, steel profiles and sections represented almost 425,000t.
