Skelp again drives line pipe price increase
US average line pipe pricing continued to trend up in April, Kallanish learns from analyst Pipe Logix.
Average line pipe pricing rose by 6.6% on-month to $1,892/short ton. Domestic prices rose by 5.5% to $2,109/st, while import prices rose by 8% to $1,675/t.
April marks the seventh consecutive month of price gains for line pipe, and Pipe Logix expects that trend to continue in the medium-term on the back of historic skelp pricing.
