SMS flags successful completion of SSAB Borlänge upgrade
German technology supplier SMS tells Kallanish that Sweden’s SSAB Borlänge has successfully rolled the first transfer bar following the conversion of the hot strip mill at the site by the SMS Group.
The first transfer bar was rolled towards the end of July after conversion of the side guides at hot-strip mill roughing stand R1 by the SMS group during the mill’s summer shutdown 2019.
