The pace of coil price declines in northwestern Europe differs by region, but largely follows the same trend.
While in Germany and the Benelux, prices for hot rolled coil have undercut the mark of €900/tonne ($954), this was not yet the case in Scandinavia until late last week. “I have not heard of local prices below €900 yet,” a Scandinavia mill source tells Kallanish, a fact reaffirmed by a buyer at a processor company there.
