Stalprodukt boosts electrical steel earnings despite lower volumes
Stalprodukt’s electrical steel segment saw shipments drop 2% on-year in the first half of 2022, but higher sales prices helped revenue soar 90% and segment profit to almost quadruple, Kallanish notes.
Revenue was registered at PLN 860.7 million ($171.4m) and segment profit at PLN 234.5m. The firm does not provide tonnages.
High permeability (HiB) grain-oriented electrical steel accounted for 25% of Stalprodukt's Bochnia site’s production.
