Swiss Steel lifts earnings on second-quarter price rally

Despite lower tonnages, the massive surge in special bar quality (SBQ) steel prices saw Swiss Steel’s earnings rise significantly in the second quarter, Kallanish hears from the group. Shipments decreased by 12% to 457,000 tonnes, from 518,000t in Q2 2021.
