Tata ramps up after pandemic curtails June-quarter operations
Tata Steel India’s sales fell -26% on-year in the first fiscal quarter through June (FQ1) to 2.92 million tonnes, while crude steel output declined -34% to 2.99mt. The Covid-19 outbreak and related movement restrictions severally impacted industrial activity and consumer sentiment, the steelmaker says.
