TimkenSteel extends USW contract for negotiations
US specialty steel producer TimkenSteel has extended its labour contract with Local 1123 of the United Steelworkers labour union, Kallanish learns from a company statement.
The contract covering about 1,180 union members at the company’s Canton, Ohio, works was slated to expire on 27 September. The two-week extension “will allow negotiations to continue as both sides work toward a mutually acceptable agreement,” TimkenSteel says.
