Turkey continues preferring billet over scrap in April
Turkish billet imports under HS code 720711 more than doubled on-year in April to 403,718 tonnes, Kallanish notes from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data. They also rose 11% versus March, as Turkish mills continued preferring booking Russian billet to importing scrap as feedstock.
