Turkish buyer books large volume of Chinese HRC
Turkey has secured significant volumes of hot-rolled coil (HRC) from China following a rebound on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), market participants inform Kallanish.
Following bidding for over two weeks at around $550/tonne cfr, base price, for Chinese-origin HRC of rerolling grade, a Turkish buyer reported finally accepted a price of around $555/t cfr for around 45,000t of HRC amid offers at $560-565/t cfr.
