Turkey's Cemtas boosts profit in first half
Turkey’s Cemtas produced 90,038 tonnes of crude steel in the first half, down 0.22% on-year. Rolled product output was also down, by 1.21% to 82,160t, Kallanish notes.
The company however reported a 4.32% on-year increase in sales, with domestic deliveries up by 16.91% to 58,601t. Export sales, however, fell by 19.03% to 21,882t. The share of exports in overall sales was 27.19%, down from 35.03% last year.
