Turkey’s Cemtas posts revenue, profit decline in 2023
Turkey’s Cemtas produced 154,799 tonnes of crude steel in 2023, down from 158,509t a year earlier. Rolled products output was also down slightly, from 144,361t to 142,056t, Kallanish notes.
The company reported a 6.7% on-year decrease in sales, with exports down by 13.6% to 35,084t. Domestic deliveries declined 4.1% to 102,395t. The share of exports in 2023 sales was 25.5%, down from 27.6% in 2022.
