Icdas starts trial production at new rod mill
Turkish long steel producer Icdas has started trial production at its new wire rod mill, supplied by Danieli.
The steelmaker’s third wire rod mill line is installed in Biga where two other wire rod mills are in operation since 2005.
Thanks to the new line, which has a monthly capacity of 50,000 tonnes, the steelmaker aims to increase its market share of wire rod coils and also to add more advanced steel grades to its product portfolio, Kallanish notes.
