Turkey’s Kocaer raises 2023 profit despite revenue decline
Turkish sections producer Kocaer Çelik saw profit increase in 2023, Kallanish notes.
The firm’s sales grew 5.3% on-year to 561,458 tonnes in 2023, despite the 32-day production shutdown that took place during the Aliağa - A2 plant revamp in May. The share of value-added products in total sales fell to 39.4% from 42% in 2022. The company mainly prefers order-based production and works with a minimum stock of products and raw materials.
