Turkey’s January slab imports slump

Turkey’s January slab import arrivals declined both on month and year, and came from Russia only, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
In January, Turkish steelmakers received 73,853 tonnes of slab, down 59.5% on-month and 71.9% on-year. In terms of Russian supply only, this was down 37.2% on-month and 56.8% on-year.
