Turkish pipe exports drop despite Ireland demand surge
Turkish welded pipe exports dropped -8% on-year in July to 159,202 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average value slumped to $739/tonne versus $822/t in July 2018, but was up from $715/t in June 2019.
The most-exported product was rectangular hollow sections whose shipments fell -8% to 74,265t. Romania took in 13,508t, down -36% on-year, the UK took 12,931t, up 5%, and Iraq sourced 10,284t, down -1…
