UAE domestic scrap quotes likely to drop further
Domestic scrap prices in the United Arab Emirates have slid slightly on-week. However, due to Indian Custom's decision not to clear containerised UAE-origin scrap, a further decrease of AED 72-129/tonne ($20-35) is expected next week onwards, Kallanish observes.
Despite the scrap export ban in UAE, scrap exporters have shifted their shipments to Pakistan; however, as a result of financial challenges in Pakistan, the export volumes have dropped significantly.
