US adds Metalloinvest, UAE subsidiary to sanctions list
Metalloinvest and its parent company USM Metalloinvest have been added to the US treasury department Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)’s Specially Designated Nationals And Blocked Persons List (SDN), effective 12 April, Kallanish notes.
Metalloinvest’s majority owner Alisher Usmanov was already sanctioned by the US last year after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine (see Kallanish passim).
