Ukraine decreases scrap purchases in March

Ukrainian mills decreased procurement of ferrous scrap in March compared to February, according to the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet. The volume purchased fell 23.2% on-month to 70,400 tonnes, but was up 95% on-year, Kallanish notes. Supply of scrap to Ukrainian enterprises was up 23.6% on-month to 87,500t and up by 106% on-year.
