Ukraine’s scrap purchases rebound in April
Ukrainian mills increased procurement of ferrous scrap in April compared to March, according to the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet.
Procurement was up 51.4% on-month to 144,000 tonnes, and by 53% on-year, Kallanish notes. Domestic supply of scrap to Ukrainian enterprises was down 2.7% on-month to 85,100t, but up by 85% on-year.
