US auto union, automakers agree to partial shutdowns
Detroit’s Big Three automakers have cut a deal with the United Auto Workers labour union for more stringent Covid-19 precautions, Kallanish reports.
The deal came after a call from union leadership to entirely cease production at Ford, GM, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) plants for the next two weeks.
