US construction employment grows in August
US construction employment increased in a majority of the 50 US states both from July to August and from August 2018 to August 2019, Kallanish learns from the Associated General Contractors of America.
Twenty-nine states added construction jobs on-month while 39 added jobs on-year.
Texas led the on-year gains with 43,900 jobs, an increase of 5.9%. Louisiana led the on-year losses with 10,100 jobs, a loss of -6.6%.
