US construction employment growth hits record in December
US construction employment hit a new 10-year high in December, Kallanish learns from the Associated General Contractors of America.
US construction employment reached 7.352 million in December - the highest such level since March 2008, and a gain of 4% over December 2017.
The association notes that about 79% of construction firms polled plan to increase their headcounts over the coming year.
