US construction employment rises in July
Construction employment increased in the majority of US states between July 2018 and July 2019 while exactly half saw gains from June to July, Kallanish learns from the Associated General Contractors of America.
Forty of the 50 US states added construction jobs on-year. Texas led the gains with 48,400 jobs, an increase of 6.6%. Louisiana led the losses with 12,100 jobs, or a decrease of -7.9%.
