US loses 3 rigs, Canada adds 12
The US lost three rigs in the week ended 1 July, while Canada’s rig count increased by 12, Kallanish learns from energy service company Baker Hughes.
The total US rig count for the week comes in at 750, an increase of 275 from the equivalent period last year. Of the total, 595 are for oil and 153 are for gas, for an on-week increase of one oil rig and a loss of four gas rigs.
