Plate prices fall in US
US plate prices have dropped to $1,810-1,830/st from $1,840-1,870/short ton, Kallanish reports.
“Scrap is falling, Korean plate is incoming, and Nucor will be rolling sample plates in September at Brandenburg. Chinese mills are slowing down, indicating that there may be lower prices in the fourth quarter,” a distribution source explains. All prices are ex-works, domestic mill.
