US plate prices hold

US plate prices have remained unchanged this week, Kallanish verifies with market sources.
Prices are holding at $1,860-1,880/short ton, ex-works, domestic mill.
“No change in price, but it appears the markets are weakening. It could be a typical slowdown, not sure yet. There are imports coming in September that could move prices down in August,” a buy-side source explains.
