US plate prices hold steady for 4th week
Pricing for carbon steel plate in the US is unchanged within a range of $1,170-1,200/short ton for a fourth consecutive week, Kallanish reports.
Market participants have expressed frustration with the overall lack of demand for plate products in the last few months. A mill source acknowledges the frustration and points out that, in general, the market is more favourable for secondary sellers than not.
