US plate price rumours say increases ahead
Despite record highs, a source close to Kallanish confirms US plate prices haven’t yet reached their peak.
This week, plate prices remain at $1,910-1,930/short ton. All prices are ex-works, domestic mill.
“Customers just think this is the new normal. The market is busy and sure, some projects are on hold, but we’re booking out,” the same buy-side source confirmed.
