US raw steel moves up
US raw steel production ticked up both on-week and on-year in the week ended 3 July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stood at 1.842 million short tons at 83% capability utilisation during the week, up 0.4% from the previous week, when utilisation was 82.7%, and up 41% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 58.3%.
