US raw steel production moves up
US raw steel production increased both on-week and on-year in the week ended 11 September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.882 million short tons at 85.3% capacity utilisation, up 0.9% from the previous week, when utilisation was 84.5%, and up 22.4% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 68.6%.
