US rebar market quiets down
Domestic rebar pricing in the US remains flat this week as the market quiets down ahead of the holiday weekend.
A northeastern distributor affirms with Kallanish that pricing for orders of domestically-produced rebar continues to hold at around approximately $950/short ton.
"Buying activity has slowed down ahead of this year's end, but the market is keeping an eye on scrap's pricing," explains the distributor.
