US rig count increases by 14, Canada holds
Rigs in the US increased by 14 for the week ending 20 May, 2022, while Canada’s rig count neither increased nor decreased this week, Kallanish finds in the information provided by energy service company Baker Hughes.
The total US rig count for the week comes in at 728, an increase of 273 from the equivalent period last year. Of the rigs, 576 are for oil and 150 are for gas. For a week-on-week increase of 13 oil rigs and one gas rig.
