US rigs decrease by 6, Canada drops 9
The number of active oil and gas rigs in the US decreased by six for the week ended 26 April whilst Canada dropped nine rigs, Kallanish learns from oil services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count totals 613, a decrease of 142 from the same period in 2023. Of the total, 506 are oil rigs, 105 are gas rigs, and two are categorised as miscellaneous.
