US rigs decrease by 7, Canada loses 6
The number of active oil and gas rigs in the US decreased by seven week-on-week, and active Canadian rigs decreased by six, Kallanish learns from oil services company Baker Hughes.
For the week ended 8 March, the US rig count fell to 622 from the prior week’s total of 629. Of the total, 504 rigs are for oil and 115 are for gas. Three rigs are categorised as miscellaneous.
