US rigs fall by 3, Canada up 4
The US and Canadian rig counts moved in nearly equal but opposite directions in the week ended 30 July, Kallanish learns from energy services firm Baker Hughes.
The US rig count fell by three net rigs to 488, up 237 from last year.
Rigs geared for oil production fell by two, while rigs geared for natural gas production fell by one.
Louisiana led the notable net losses by state with four, while Texas led the notable net gains with two.
