US weekly steel production ticks upward
Weekly raw steel production in the US for the week ended 9 March was 1.734 million short tons with a capability utilisation rate of 78.1%, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. Raw steel production increased 1.0% week-on-week. In the week ended 2 March, raw production was 1.716m st and utilisation was 77.3%.
