USS appeals fine for emissions at Clairton works
US Steel has appealed a fine for violating emissions standards at its Clairton Coke Works in Pennsylvania, Kallanish has learned.
The company was fined $337,670 by the Allegheny County Health Department in May for emissions problems not related to the fire that occurred at the site in December.
