USW says meeting with Nippon Steel was unproductive
Leaders of the United Steelworkers union said the latest meeting with Nippon Steel executive vice president Takahiro Mori, to discuss worker implications in the potential purchase of US Steel, resulted in no further progress, Kallanish learns.
In its 7 March update from Michael Millsap, USW Chairman of the Negotiating Committee, and David McCall, USW International President, the leaders highlighted the outstanding issues between Nippon and the labour union.
