Vale, Essar ink Saudi raw materials supply agreement
Vale International has signed a letter of intent (LoI) with Essar Group to supply 4 million tonnes/year of iron ore agglomerates – direct reduction-grade pellet and briquettes – to Green Steel Arabia (GSA).
The supply will feed Essar’s prospective GSA flat steelmaking investment project in Ras Al Khair Industrial Zone, on the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia, which is to commence production in 2027, Kallanish notes.
