Vale resumes Vargem Grande pellet production
Brazil’s Vale has resumed iron ore pellet production at its Vargem Grande plant in Nova Lima, Kallanish learns from the company. The site was halted in February 2019.
The plant, which has a nominal capacity of 7 million tonnes/year, is expected to produce 4-5mt in 2021, according to its ramp-up and pellet feed availability, the miner explains.
