Vale’s iron ore shipments remain strong in May
Brazilian miner Vale saw iron ore exports grow sequentially in May, Kallanish notes. Shipments, however, remained weaker on-year.
According to the latest Sindicato Nacional da Indústria da Extração de Ferro e Metais Básicos (Sinferbase) data, Vale’s exports of iron ore in May were 16.3 million tonnes or 663,000 tonnes more over April but 11.7% less year-on-year.
