Italian rod demand seen lasting till second quarter
Italy is enjoying healthy demand for wire rod and wire rod derivatives, with prices at good levels and consumption seeing growth, market participants tell Kallanish.
This is owing to a process of restocking, after the low stocks seen in the second half of 2023 and the exhaustion of EU safeguard duties on certain products. A general lower availability is also causing apparent demand to come back to the market.
