Argentina to start battery production in September using local feedstock
Argentina is all set to kickstart its lithium battery production in September this year using locally produced lithium bought from US lithium chemical producer Livent, Kallanish learns.
Early this year, the province of Catamarca, where the lithium is produced, and Y-TEC, a subsidiary of state-owned oil firm YPF, signed an agreement to supply lithium to the new plant known as UNILIB.
