Chery's Qingdao gigafactory officially starts production
Chery's new gigafactory was recently officially established in the Automotive Industry New City in Jimo Area, Qingdao. The first vehicle made in this gigafactory has already been produced.
According to Chery, among its planned gigafactories nationwide, this Qingdao-based one was the first constructed and also the first to reach scaled production. Its annual capacity is 200,000 units.
